Your drought is over. You wake up in the morning with a killer attitude and welcome the day with whatever it throws in your way, because tonight, you've got a hot date. You walk to the bathroom and get ready to whisper positive affirmations to that strikingly attractive person in the mirror, but as you gaze into it, your jaw drops and your heart stops.

You broke out! Pimples glitter your face like stars in the night sky. You are now on a mission and you won't be stopped until you find out how to get rid of blackheads FAST!

What The Heck Is A Blackhead Anyway?

What we commonly refer to as blackheads, are signposts to the first stage of acne. They are tiny protrusions embedded into the pores of your skin. They are usually black in color, but are sometimes yellowish. They typically begin ruining your life when you reach the age of puberty. All those hormones raging through your body stimulate the oil glands in your skin. The extra oil clogs up your pores and the oxygen in the air turns them a darker color.

The more oily your skin is, the more problems you will have with acne. Unfortunately, once you graduate from the school of puberty, there is no guarantee your acne will be left behind. Many people suffer the effects of pimples well into their thirties and forties.

The Best Offense Is A Good Defense

Prevention is the absolute best way to avoid blackheads. The best way to prevent acne is adhering to a rigorous face cleansing schedule. Diligence and effort will pay off when it comes to poor skin quality.

Buying an acne treatment system may be a wise investment for someone who frequently suffers from blackhead attacks. An acne facial treatment will thoroughly clean your pores, thus significantly reducing your risk of developing blackheads. If you frequently wear makeup, it is extremely important you do not go to bed without thoroughly cleansing your face.

I Need This Thing Off Of My Face Now!

OK. You really don't wanna hear about what you should have done. The past is the past and the future is looking grim if you can't get rid of this blackhead right now. Well, it can be done, but your going to have to be brave, so buckle up and lets get through this together.

The best way to remove a blackhead is to use a specially designed blackhead remover. But I'm sure you wouldn't be here if you had one in your medicine cabinet, so just remember that you might want to be proactive and pick one up for a future nightmare scenario.

You should only extract a blackhead on your own if it is your only option. Doing this on a regular basis is certain to cause permanent skin damage. Treating acne scars is difficult. You'll have a harder time trying to clear acne scars.

Don't attempt to remove blackheads on your own if there are signs of infection around the acne. Trust me. This will leave you in a much worse position than before. It will make your face look a heck of a lot worse, and will also earn you a trip to the dermatologist.

The Pimple Removal Process

Let me preface this by stating that if you don't feel comfortable removing a blackhead by yourself than don't. Consulting your doctor is the best course of action.

1. The removal should take place in a very sterile environment.

2. Thoroughly clean your hands and face.

3. Apply a very warm towel to the blackhead for 10-15 minutes. This will do a great job of loosening your pores and making the extraction much easier. Do not skip this step.

4. With clean hands, use both pointer fingers to apply pressure from opposite sides of the blackhead. You shouldn't have to squeeze very hard for the blackhead to come out. If nothing is happening, try applying pressure with your fingers at different positions around the circumference of the blackhead.

5. Apply some peroxide to clean the area.

6. Leave me a comment telling me how your date went!
